Frequently Asked Question

How Do I Know If I Need A Tire Alignment?

Some indicators of a bad wheel alignment are:

  • Uneven Tread Wear
  • Steering Wheel Off-Center
  • Abnormal Pulling
  • It is even possible that your vehicle is out of alignment and you might not notice it, best way to tell
  • its by hooking your vehicle to an alignment machine.

What If I Don’t Perform A Wheel Alignment OnMy Vehicle?

Most common issues caused by a vehicle out of alignment:

  • Tires wearing uneven, premature wearing.
  • Abnormal handling.
  • Increased Fuel Consumption.
  • Premature wear and tear on other steering and suspension components.

Does Wheel Alignment Affect Gas Mileage?

Yes. A vehicle with proper wheel alignment have less rolling resistance. Which translates in less friction and improved gas mileage.

What is the difference between the Ghost 1& 2?

Nothing that you would notice really. The 1 is now obsolete and no longer available. The 2 has the ability to pair 2 phones should you wish, these can be android or ios. I do not endorse the app as if someone has your phone they can start your car. It also has a bit of extra technology installed which helps future proof it for the next few years as vehicle technology moves on. Neither of them are more secure than the other, I still have the Ghost 1 on my car as there no gain in changing it. There’s also the Money Back Guarantee promotion with the Ghost 2 which means should your vehicle be stolen with the device installed then we will refund you the £499.00 Can not say any fairer than that.

Does installing an Autowatch Ghost void my vehicles warranty?

This seems to be a question that gets asked a lot about installing an Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser but in a word, no. Installing a Ghost will not void your vehicles warranty. This is the same for any of the products we install, including Parking Sensors (drilling the bodywork), cruise control, speed limiters, tracking systems, alarms and more. In 18 years of installing these devices we have never voided a vehicles warranty.

Does an engine carbon clean use chemicals?

No. Our state-of-the-art machines run entirely on water and electricity process to break down the molecules of water into HHO gas which attracts carbon and thus extracts this from the engine. Chemicals can also be expensive to buy on a regular basis and this eats into your profit. Its unique HHO system only needs a liquid gas filter refilled every six months of use. Our system is therefore better for the environment and without the need to purchase extra consumables.

Does the engine carbon clean EGR valves?

EGR valves contain unburnt oil, fuel and other contaminants. Our engine carbon clean machine focuses on the internal combustion chamber to prevent further contaminants of the EGR valves.

How often do sensors require servicing?

All manufacturers recommend that TPMS sensors should be checked regularly and serviced every time a tyre is changed or the sensor is removed. As a general rule, sensors should last for approximately 7 years before the battery will need to be replaced. However, sensors can become faulty or fail completely as a result of weather damage, corrosion or accidental damage caused when changing tyres. To ensure the sensor remains in good condition, most manufacturers recommend servicing them (i.e. replacing the valve cap and core components) every time a tyre is changed.
